Greenhouse Gas Management in Canada

The issue of greenhouse gas management is a hot topic in Canada these days.

Recent articles in major newspapers reflect the level of political and public interest — in the wake of the new Conservative minority government, and their shift in policy direction.

Steven B. Young, president of GHGm.com, is quoted in the Toronto Star (May 22, 2006). With reference to small entrepreneurial firms and the ability of organizations to develop carbon credits in Canada:

They’re put on ice now. There’s a whole chill of activity

Steve Young, of consulting firm greenhousegasmanagement.com (sic)

Importantly, there is growing action against climate change in the USA. We at GHGm.com expect Canadian and USA technology firms to turn their attentions south, as new carbon markets emerge and project incentive programs develop at the state and local levels.
