GHGm gets wind power

GHGm has purchased wind power from its local electricity provider. This minor extra cost to overhead expenditures more than benefits, as part of the company’s on-going efforts to reduce it’s environmental and GHG footprint, and to show local environmental leadership.

Guelph Hydro, though its SelectPower group provides integrated wind power with City of Guelph electric power retailing.

GreenhouseGasMeasurement.com becomes SMART qualified

GreenhouseGasMeasurement.com prequalified today to develop and evaluate the technical and GHG measurement, reporting activities and documentation of TEAM industrial projects under the Technology Early Action Measures (TEAM) initiative of Natural Resources Canada. This is to be done according to Government of Canada, TEAM general requirements (i.e., the System of Measurement and Reporting for Technologies (SMART)) or to a similar protocol or standard to be approved by TEAM (e.g. the forthcoming release of the GHG Protocol for projects by the World Resource Institute and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development or ISO 14064 for Projects).
